Business Development Manager- Co-operatives
Sales / Marketing / Retail / Business Development
The role holder will be responsible for acquiring, growing, and deepening the Cooperative relationships across Kenya, through effective customer value proposition and relationship management; ensuring growth of Cooperative business in the Bank in line with the BIIMS (Borrow, Insure, Invest, Move and Save) perspective
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all new businesses comply with AML/KYC and CTF laws and regulations and maintain up-to-date customer information regularly.
- Identify and develop new business proposals efficiently and expeditiously to capitalize on potential new business opportunities.
- Onboard new clients, identify and address customer needs, and deliver service that aligns with customer expectations.
- Grow the existing deposit book according to set organizational targets by expanding current accounts/collection business and increasing wholesale deposits from focus institutions.
- Expand the existing asset book in line with organizational targets by increasing the volume of quality loans and advances to focus institutions.
- Achieve income targets through integrations and other co-branded solutions that recruit institutions to our platform.
- Stay informed about developments in the Co-operative movement by monitoring industry performance and regulatory changes.
- Provide advisory services to customers and build capacity to ensure institutional growth and consolidate their business through the bank.
- Deliver excellent customer service to resolve queries and achieve customer satisfaction.
- Prepare customer sales coverage plans and go-to-market strategies to optimize market penetration and wallet sizing for existing customers.
- Model the brand and corporate values of the bank both internally and externally.
- Undertake any other official duties allocated by management.
Qualifications, Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce or business-related field.
- Certification in Co-operatives-related field.
- At least 5 years’ experience in a sales-related role in the co-operatives segment.
- Computer proficiency a must.
