TrustLAB International Research Fellowships
TrustLAB at the DCU Institute for Business & Society is proud to launch a new International Research Fellowship Scheme aimed at supporting and recognizing exceptional early- to
mid-career researchers (2 to 10 years post-PhD graduation) working on the critical topic of Trust.
Fellowship Objectives
The TrustLAB International Research Fellowship aims to:
● Recognize talented early-to mid-career researchers making significant contributions to the topic of trust.
● Support high-quality, innovative research in the field of trust.
● Foster long-term, collaborative relationships between the Fellow and trustLAB members.
The Award
The successful applicant will receive the following:
● A Two-Year Appointment (January 2026-December 2027) as a trustLAB International Research Fellow.
● A total stipend of €4,000 to support approved travel and approved research activities over the two years.
● Access to the academic network, resources, and multidisciplinary expertise of the trustLAB and the wider DCU Institute for Business & Society.
Our work on trust has been published in the Academy of Management Journal, Computers in Human Behavior, Health Services Research, Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies and Organization Science among others.
Fellowship Commitments
Fellows are required to undertake the following:
● A minimum of one two-week visit to Dublin within the first six months of the appointment to engage with TrustLAB faculty and contribute to the research activities of trustLAB. This visit will include the delivery of a research seminar and the hosting
of a workshop designed to explore collaboration opportunities.
● Actively participate in collaborative research activities during the two-year
appointment, including:
○ Regular attendance at online trustLAB meetings (1 hr every 6 weeks).
○ 6-monthly fellowship review meetings with the trustLAB lead.
○ Submission of at least 1 conference and 1 journal paper with trustLAB
coauthors during fellowship tenure.
Eligibility and Application Process
We welcome applications from early- to mid-career researchers (2 to 10 years post-PhD graduation) with a demonstrated commitment to the field of trust research.
Application Deadline: December 1, 2025
Applicants must submit an application (max 2 pages) to the trustLAB. This document must include:
1. Name and Current Position (Affiliation, Title).
2. Link to your Google Scholar or ORCID page.
3. A brief overview of research papers in progress.
4. A brief summary of your contribution to the field of trust research (to date).
5. An overview of the general research area and/or projects you wish to pursue during the period of the fellowship.
6. An overview of how you would like to collaborate with trustLAB researchers and how you would contribute to trustLAB during the period of the fellowship.
