Brief Description:
The Chief Instructor Cabin is responsible for ensuring the standardization of safety and emergency training programs and overseeing the supervision of instructors.
Detailed Description:
- Develop training curriculum, syllabi, and manuals for all Safety and Emergency training programs.
- Develop, plan, deliver, and coordinate relevant training syllabi according to the set training policy and organizational requirements.
- Organize and schedule safety and emergency training programs in collaboration with various functions to ensure easy access and full participation.
- Ensure all training is conducted according to KCAA/Company policy and standards.
- Prepare and maintain quality of classrooms during lectures, encouraging participation from the audience.
- Audit outsourced training institutions to confirm they meet KCAA regulatory, industry requirements, and IOSA policies.
- Supervise and manage instructors’ activities to optimize resources and ensure timely and efficient achievement of training objectives.
- Certify students’ training records, graduation certificates, end-of-course reports, and recommend course completion when applicable.
- Review and implement updates or changes to training materials and publications.
- Assess and recommend course material for relevance, consistency, and quality.
- Collaborate with the Senior Manager – Ground Training to ensure sufficient instructors and support personnel are available.
- Moderate examinations and evaluate instructors’ performance, providing feedback.
- Develop and manage the training budget.
- Complete training needs analyses and design effective training programs.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of training sessions.
- Manage stock, reproduction, and supply of printed training materials for participants.
Job Requirements:
- Hold a university degree or higher diploma.
- Hold a valid (or have held) crew member certificate (CMC).
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Technically competent in the area of instruction.
- Integrity, tact, and ability to work well with others.
- Completed an instructional techniques course.
- At least 3 years of experience as a safety and emergency procedures instructor/Inflight instructor.
