Nairobi, Kenya – October 2025:
An independent government institution has announced new job vacancies and is inviting applications from qualified and experienced Kenyan citizens to fill several positions.

The institution seeks professional, competent, and results-oriented individuals who are ready to deliver high-quality work, operate under pressure, and serve in any part of the country. 1. Senior Administration Officer

Reports to: Principal Administration Officer

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Administration Officer will be responsible for the coordination, planning, organizing, and implementation of administrative functions. Specific duties include:

  • Implementing policies, guidelines, and procedures related to administrative services such as transport, records management, and standardization of office furniture and equipment.

  • Ensuring compliance with administrative policies and regulations.

  • Managing and safeguarding organizational assets.

  • Overseeing library and records management services.

  • Ensuring workplace safety, security, and a healthy environment.

Qualifications and Experience:
Applicants must have:

  1. Served as an Administration Officer I or in an equivalent position for at least three (3) years in the Public Service or a reputable private organization.

  2. A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Social Science from a recognized university.

  3. Completed an Administrative Officers Induction Course.

  4. Demonstrated merit and ability in work performance and results.


2. Security Officer

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Security Officer will be responsible for ensuring safety and security across the institution’s facilities. Key duties include:

  • Providing security to premises, critical installations, assets, staff, and clients.

  • Conducting random security surveys and screenings.

  • Carrying out surveillance and monitoring activities.

  • Preparing security briefs and reports.

  • Managing access control and manning the control room.

  • Responding promptly to emergencies and rescue situations.

Qualifications and Experience:
Applicants must have:

  1. Served for a minimum of five (5) years in a relevant position within the Government’s disciplined forces or a reputable security organization.

  2. A Diploma in Criminology, Law, Security Management, Police Work, Police Science, Peace Building, Conflict Management, Risk and Disaster Management, or equivalent qualification.

  3. A Certificate in Investigation, Intelligence, or Security Studies (minimum 3 months).

  4. Computer proficiency.

Note: Possession of a valid driving license will be an added advantage.
