Brief Description:
Job Purpose Statement: Supervise and coordinate LAN, WLAN, WAN, Radio, and Security network infrastructure implementation and support in all KQ offices to meet IT resource sharing and utilization needs.

Detailed Description:

Lead the Network and Security Integration team, which drives Routing and Switching, WAN Optimization, Data Center, Wireless Mobility for the business.
Develop support sub-systems that integrate with core IT systems to improve business processes.
Drive key availability of key operations and support systems including Internet, Firewalls, Core Network, and Radio systems.
Drive prompt resolution of IT security incidents and audit findings/Resolution or mitigation of IT incidents with a high IT Security impact.
Work with network service providers in logical design, configuration, and implementation of network infrastructure, ensuring vendor-proposed solutions are implemented within agreed design specifications and optimized for the best performance.
Lead the Network and Security Integration team, driving Routing and Switching, WAN Optimization, Datacenters, Wireless Mobility for the business.
Diagnose network bottlenecks, identify fault root causes, and implement solutions to ensure maximum availability and optimal performance of LANs and WANs.
Work with network service providers to ensure network infrastructure systems and services are working at agreed SLAs, liaising with them to resolve incidents and problems as necessary.
Design and implement appropriate redundant traffic routing where appropriate and cost-effective.
Liaise effectively with all outstations to ensure that network solutions are implemented within company standards.
Actively appraise and monitor entire network performance, recommending new proposals for networking and communications technologies to improve service reliability, cost efficiency, and better support business requirements.
Participate in the formulation and updating of network standards and perform all implementations within set standards.

Job Requirements:

B.Sc. in Information Science or a related IT field.
Certification in networking technologies such as CCNA, NS4.
Five years’ experience in designing, configuring, and supporting LANs, VPNs, and WANs in a busy commercial organization.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
